* Updated 20/09/2020 – Bespoke Civil Ceremonies COVID 19 Response
Caring for you and your loved ones
Funeral Directors across the UK are developing protection plans for the safety of families during these unprecedented and worrying times. The main desire is for funerals to be as normal as possible whilst minimising the risk of transmission.
From 20th September 2020, the Scottish Government has brought in new statutory obligations to ensure that Covid-19 is brought back under control. This means that while I am unable to visit you in your family home, I can conduct interviews with you and your family by telephone, Skype, Zoom or similar media. In exceptional circumstances Neil would be permitted to make a home visit in the family garden with a maximum of 6 people, this would be weather dependent and we therefore advise not always possible or practical.
*For the protection of families at this exceptional time, we request that family interviews take place via telephone, Skype, Facetime or similar apps in order to keep everyone protected. This is direct guidance from the Funeral Celebrancy Council. Please see here for further information, or click the file below.
*If a face to face family Interview is deemed necessary, we are required by law that meetings take place outdoors.
Over the last 15 years I have conducted many family interviews by telephone, Skype etc. Using this form of communication does not in any way detract from delivering the very best service for your loved one and of course you, will still receive a draft email of the service from the telephone/Skype interview so you can make any changes you wish before the funeral.
During the Funeral Service Social Distancing practices will be in place, at the recommendation of the Industry.
Please be reassured that you and your loved ones will still receive the very best level of care and Service from Bespoke Civil Ceremonies.
As the COVID 19 situation is fast paced and evolving, we will update this message in accordance with any further advice from the funeral business.
Take good care of yourselves and each other
